Every thought, action, or choice you make advances one kingdom or the other!

As Christians, we wouldn’t want to advance the Enemy’s kingdom, but sometimes we do! We advance the Enemy kingdom when we choose sin over obedience. We advance God’s Kingdom when we choose to read our Bible and pray EVERY day. We advance Satan’s kingdom when we decide to hold a grudge or to be unkind. And the list goes on . . .

We have become a nation of SELF, which is in direct opposition to the Bible. So where does it come from?? The Enemy . . . his LIES.

Philippians 2:3-4 “Do NOTHING out of SELFISH AMBITION or vain conceit. Rather, in humility VALUE OTHERS ABOVE YOURSELVES, 4 NOT LOOKING TO YOUR OWN INTERESTS but each of you TO THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS.”

Do you think about “who” is watching you—your life? I’m not just talking about God. He’s always watching. He should be our number one priority. Our choices affect others. Sometimes our choices affect people who watch as we make our choice . . . or the result of making the wrong choice. What this watchful eye sees could determine whether they have positive or negative thoughts toward Christians, in general. Ouch! Remember the song by the Imperials, “You’re the only Jesus?” Chorus reprinted below.

"You're the only Jesus some will ever see.

And you're the only words of life, some will ever read.

So let them see in you the One in whom is all they'll ever need.

'Cause you're the only Jesus some will ever see."

Warriors, there are onlookers from Satan’s kingdom watching us just as God does. We should count them as “opportunities” to advance God’s Kingdom. Amen?! We have opportunities to “win over” soldiers from Satan’s kingdom because of how we act and the choices we make.

Father, we repent and ask forgiveness taking for granted the cost Jesus paid to redeem us from the Enemy. We ask that You remove the scales from our eyes so we live our lives with the knowledge that others are watching us and looking to us for answers while we are busy indulging ourselves. Forgive us for not obeying Your commands. Strengthen our faith and renew our minds through Your Word until we understand every thought, every action, and every choice we make advances either Your Kingdom or the Enemy's kingdom. Father, may our desire be to advance ONLY Your Kingdom. May we become increasingly aware of the Enemy’s cunning tactics and be on the alert to all his lies and deception. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

Advancing God's Kingdom,

Delann Conrad
