    SEVEN ABOMINATIONS

ALL 7 Abominations are difficult accept, but each one is the TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD. We have a remedy. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” 1 John 2:1.  Restoration is found in Him.  Follow these steps:

1) RECOGNIZE (admit) the sin;

2) Take responsibility by REPENTING for the action to God and others;

3) RENOUNCE the sin as dead works;

4) REMOVE the stronghold/evil spirit by commanding it leave in Jesus' Name and by the

    authority you have through Jesus' Blood; and

5) RESIST THE TEMPTATION (DON'T DO IT AGAIN)!

Rejoice in your freedom and, from what you have learned, restore others to wholeness.  Amen!!

Scripture: Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Warriors, fasten your seatbelts and grab a bowl of popcorn! You are about to enter the “Tough Love Teaching Zone.” Oops . . . there goes my misplaced sense of humor again. God knows I will be bold with His Word. It’s my calling . . . so here we go!!!

At first glance of this scripture, we might be thinking something like, “this is from the Old Testament, so it doesn’t apply to me.” Let’s take a look (not a glance) and perform a diagnostic.

1. A PROUD (haughty, arrogant) LOOK

Definitions:

Haughty: blatantly and disdainfully proud; having or showing an attitude of superiority and contempt for people or things perceived to be inferior; unreasonably proud and unfriendly.

Arrogant: exaggerating or disposed to exaggerate one's own worth or importance often by an overbearing manner; showing an offensive attitude of superiority; having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.

Scripture tells us that pride deceives us.

Obadiah 1:3 “The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?”

Proverbs 30:11-14 “11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. 14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.”

Psalms 10:4 “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.”

Psalms 73:6-8 “Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. 8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

Psalms 101:4-5 “A froward (perverse) heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.”

Isaiah 3:9 “The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.”

1 Peter 5:5b “Yea, ALL of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

The basic attitude here is: “I’m better than everyone else. I’m above it all! Look at me! I can do this and get away with it.”  This kind of attitude God hates.

In instances where you think you are better than anyone else, it’s time for a self-diagnostic!  In instances where you are sinning continually, it’s time for a self-diagnostic!  Scripture is clear as to how God feels about it and He doesn’t mince His Words.  God cannot lie and He never changes.   Think about it.

2 - Lying Tongue.jpg

All of us would say that we know the definition of lying, but do we alter the definition to suit the situation?

LIE (definition)

1. A false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; and intentional untruth; a falsehood.

2. Something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture:

3. An inaccurate or false statement; a falsehood.

Summation: A lie, either with the “intent” to hurt or harm someone or not, is anything purported to be an unequivocal truth when, in reality, it is less than 100% true and having no evidence or proof of truth . . . a false statement.

First, recall that Satan is the Father of Lies. Whenever YOU lie or tell something that you do not know as 100% truth (from your own evidence – not words from someone else), as a member of God’s Army, you have just defected to the other side! And . . . a “white” lie is nothing more than a LIE with the word “white” in front of it. A lie . . . is a lie . . . is a lie. Don’t be deceived by the Enemy.

We don’t always consider our words before they come pouring out, and we should work more on controlling our mouths. Scripture is clear that when you lie about someone, YOU WILL undoubtedly HURT that person (Proverbs 26:28). You WILL BRING THEM PAIN. Friends, if you don’t “know” something is 100% truth . . . DO NOT OPEN YOUR MOUTH ABOUT IT TO ANYONE! Don’t think, “They’ll never know I said this, so it’s no problem.” It IS a problem . . . IT IS SIN and nothing less. The Enemy wants you to believe that it’s nothing. He wants you to believe that ALL sin is of no consequence to you.

If you “perceive” [“to regard as being such (without proof or evidence); to become aware of through THE SENSES (again, not from PROOF or EVIDENCE] a person has done or is involved in “this or that thing,” then you have absolutely no idea it is the truth. If you didn’t witness it – well, let me state it clearly and plainly:

“SHUT YOUR MOUTH UP ABOUT IT.”

Warriors, Christians, Believers and Disciples: Keep your perceptions to yourself. If you don’t, it’s sin. Scripture instructs us not to make accusations except at the mouth of 2-3 witnesses. Your perceptions don’t qualify as either one of the witnesses!

Psalm 58:3 tells us that wicked people are “born” wayward, spreading lies. This is evidence of generational curse of a lying spirit. Psalms 62:4 says that people who lie do so with the intention to “take someone down” . . . and they enjoy it. These same people say nice things to your face while in their hearts they curse you: what we have termed as being “two-faced.”

God says He will DESTROY those who tell lies—He detests it.  I didn’t say it . . . God said it. BE CAREFUL. Just because you can say what you want doesn’t mean that you SHOULD say it. In addition, this sin is not only a sin against the person you are bearing false witness against, but it is a sin against the Blood Covenant you have made with Jesus when you accepted His Gift of Salvation. Telling lies (expressing your “perceptions” out loud) opens doors for demonic oppression in YOUR life. Lying will affect YOU and your life. WARNING -- DON’T DO IT!

Don’t let this accurately describe you: John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no [zero, nada] truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

This scripture ties lying and murdering together. Remember also that the power of life and death is in our tongues. We can assassinate someone with our words. With words alone, it is possible to ruin someone’s ministry, destroy someone’s marriage/family . . . etc. DON’T DO IT!

Romans 3:10-13 “ As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:”

That’s a pretty ugly description. I don’t even like reading it.  We are a generation of “white washing” sin.  It has become commonplace to “pretty up” everything (yourself: plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures, Spanx (haha -- well you know where I'm going with this); your online profile, professional photos, etc.  Anything that "is" or "looks" less than perfect or bad, we want to make it LOOK GOOD. Now I wonder who heads up that department -- hummm (The Enemy the deceiver)?  Friends, this scripture is what lying looks like to God!

3 HandsThatShedInnocentBlood.jpg

Proverbs 1:11 “If they say, "If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily (privately) for the innocent without cause”

Deuteronomy 27:25 “Cursed (CURSED!) be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen'”

Isaiah 59:3-6 “For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. 6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.”

God says in this scripture that a murderer ALSO does these things:

1) lies;

2) speaks of wicked things;

3) is unjust;

4) relies on untruths to support empty arguments;

5) spends time thinking of ways to perform evil;

6) births poison;

7) their deeds are evil and;

8) they are KNOWN for acts of violence

Scripture tells us that we have the power of life and DEATH in our tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Abomination No. 2, we studied how lies are hurtful, injurious, cause great harm, etc.

Psalm 57:4 “My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Proverbs 25:18 “A man that beareth false witness against his neighbor is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow (all weapons capable of taking a life).”

2 Kings 24:3-4 “Surely at the commandment of the Lord came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; 4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the Lord would not pardon.”

God stands hard against anyone who harms the innocent.  WARNING – DON’T SHED INNOCENT BLOOD!

4 HeartThatDevisethWickedImaginations.jp

What is wicked? Let’s start with a review of the post from 2 days ago entitled “The Definition of Wickedness:” [Go to:  https://www.facebook.com/tbir777/posts/35341310845950]

The Scriptures below will help in recognizing what kind of plans would be considered WICKED in God’s eyes.

Ever hear the saying, “You are what you do, not what you say?” A person whose words do not line up with his/her actions is “twisted or wicked” in God’s eyes. The children of Israel thought they could fool God by “going through the motions” of worship.

Isaiah 58:1-2 “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.”

Even though at this time Israel painstakingly went through “the motion” of worship; they were FULL of sin. Their hearts did not line up with true worship. (John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”). Even when made AWARE of their sins, they were arrogant, stiff-necked and continued in their sin, and continued to worship. In doing so, they thought they could fool God. They “devised” in their hearts to pretend to worship God, but continue to sin. They devised a WICKED PLAN.

Jeremiah 6:15 “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.”

Well, contrary to their wicked plan, they didn’t fool God at all. God noticed their WICKEDNESS. They were so used to sinning they no longer blushed at their own sin (their consciences were seared).

Ezekiel 33:31 “And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness [a/k/a gave only “lip service” to God].”

The characteristics of wicked people (Romans 1:28-33; 2 Peter 2:9-11):

• Filled with all unrighteousness

• Sexually immoral

• Covetous

• Malicious

• Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness

• Backbiters

• Haters of God

• Violent

• Proud

• Boaster

• Invent evil things

• Disobedient to parents

• Undiscerning

• Untrustworthy

• Unloving

• Unforgiving

• Unmerciful

• Know what they do is deserving of death

• Approval of others who practice the same wicked things

• Walk according to the flesh in lust of uncleanness

• Despise authority

• Presumptuous

• Self-willed

• Not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries

God FORBIDS fellowship (companionship; company with equals or friends; a friendly feeling that exists between people who have a shared interest or who do something as a group) with WICKED people. [Numbers 16:26; Proverbs 1:10; Exodus 23:32-33; 1 Corinthians 5:11; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 2 Thessalonians 3:6]

DESTINY OF THE WICKED:

Luke 13:25-29 “When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.”

5 FeetThatRunToMischief.jpg

This abomination speaks of someone who pursues evil to the point that they can’t get there fast enough. An addict thinks about nothing else except feeding their addiction (i.e. how can they get it; how soon they can get it; what they must do to get it; etc.). A person in the thralls of addiction will destroy their finances, their family, their life, etc. in order to get that fix just one more time. In other words, the addiction has become their GOD.  It’s no wonder this is an abomination to God.

Most of us would agree that we should not perform or participate in anything evil.  However, Scripture takes it to the next level: 1 Thessalonians 5:22 “Abstain from ALL APPEARANCE of evil.” That means, if it LOOKS LIKE IT, COULD BE EVIL, OR MIGHT LEAD TO EVIL in someone else's opinion, (whether we are actually doing something evil or not), GOD COMMANDS US NOT TO DO IT!  That’s a hard pill to swallow. Another one of those, “Don’t shoot the messenger” verses.  God’s Word says it's an abomination to Him—better stay far from  it!!

6 A False Witness.jpg

Certainly this Abomination is tied to the second one (lying tongue). This narrows it down further to mean either 1) false testimony used to convict the innocent of a crime or 2) false testimony used to prove the innocence of someone who IS guilty.

DEFINITION OF LIE:

1. A false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.

2. Something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture:

3. An inaccurate or false statement; a falsehood.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:

1. No one should be put to death on the testimony of ONLY one witness; every matter must be established by the testimony of 2-3 witnesses (Numbers 35:30, Deuteronomy 17:6; 2 Corinthians 13:1).

2. In the case of a wife being suspected of adultery, conviction could not be based on the husband’s feelings alone. (Numbers 5:13)

3. The witness who withheld the truth was censured. (Leviticus 5:1) It was a sin if truth was withheld; the person withholding the truth would be held responsible.

4. A false witness was punished with the penalty due to the offence which it sought to establish. If you testified falsely that a person had committed murder (which was punishable by death) then you would be put to death.

5. Do not bear false testimony against your neighbor; do not give false testimony to obstruct

the conviction of the guilty. (Exodus 20:16, 23:1)

6. When the law was given, if you bore false witness against anyone, you would be found guilty of that particular in and the corresponding punishment; if a person was sentenced to death it was the witnesses who carried out the punishment. (Deuteronomy 15:9, 17:7)

7. Evidence was required in order to prove one’s innocence. (Exodus 22:13)

Being a false witness includes:

1. False testimony used to convict the innocent

2. Withholding the truth in order to convict the innocent

3. Feelings/perceptions (with no evidence or witnesses) used to prove the guilt of the innocent

4. False testimony used to prove the guilty is innocent.

7 SowerOfDiscordAmongBrethren.jpg

DEFINITION OF DISCORD (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary)

1. Disagreement among persons or things; between persons, difference of opinions; variance; opposition; contention; strife; any disagreement which produces angry passions, contest, disputes, litigation or war.

2. Disagreement; want of order; a clashing.

Strong’s (H4066) -- A contest or quarrel; contention; discord; strife

DEFINITION OF BRETHREN – STRONG’S (H251)

1. Brother

a. Brother of same parents

b. Half-brother

c. Relative, kinship, same tribe (Brother/Sister in Christ)

d. Each to the other (reciprocal relationship -- friend)

This is God’s providence!

Sowing does not involve 1 seed. Sowing is a “scattering” or “sprinkling” of seed onto the ground. Therefore, it would be impossible to “sow discord” between you and only one other person. This “sowing” involves scattering knowledge of a disagreement/discord/argument/fight between you and another person for the purpose of involving others in the discord. Sowing discord is taking a PRIVATE disagreement to the PUBLIC (or making it known IN A GROUP) for the purpose of bringing others who don’t belong in your disagreement; that have no business being involved or having knowledge of it. If you bring others into your argument, you are creating discord where there IS NONE.

If you’ve ever done this you have committed Abomination No. 7.

INSTRUCTION:  If you have a disagreement/argument/fight/discord between you and another:

1) Keep it strictly between you and the other person (alone).

2) Do not tell anyone else about it or try to bring someone else into it.

3) Do not write an article to post in the newspaper, Facebook, or any other social/public platform.

4) Do not comment about the disagreement in a PUBLIC post.

KEEP IT PRIVATE THUS SAYETH THE LORD (not Delann)
